Tutorial

Getting started with polydesk clicktrader BETA

1. Install

Download the build for your platform from our public GitHub repository, Windows (.msi) and macOS (.dmg). Verify the published checksum before installing; never install builds from third-party links.

2. First launch, paper mode

polydesk clicktrader starts in PAPER mode: the full cockpit against live market data with simulated fills. No wallet, no funds and no license are needed. Use it to learn the interface risk-free, it stays free without time limit.

3. The cockpit at a glance

  • Top bar: market search, ARMED/DISARMED toggle, size presets (hotkeys 1 to 8), view switch, PAPER/LIVE badge.
  • Workspace: one ladder card per market outcome, bid depth, price, ask depth, your orders (blue), auto-center and a depth minimap.
  • Bottom panel: order ticket, active positions, working orders, execution log, session tiles.
  • Footer: connection health (EXEC/WS/DATA), data freshness and latency read-outs.

4. Placing and managing orders

  • Click a bid/ask cell to take liquidity at that price; click a price cell to make (place a resting order).
  • Your working orders appear as blue chips in the MINE column, click a chip to cancel that order.
  • Hotkeys: 1 to 8 select size presets · F flattens the position · ESC cancels · CANCEL ALL in the top bar pulls every working order.
  • DISARMED blocks all order placement, use it whenever you step away.

5. Going live

  1. Connect your own Polymarket-compatible wallet. Your signer key is created and stored locally, polydesk clicktrader never transmits it.
  2. Switch to LIVE mode. The badge in the top-right turns from blue PAPER to a high-contrast LIVE badge, always check it before trading.
  3. Live orders in the Free tier carry a small per-order builder fee, shown before you confirm. An optional Pro license (see pricing) removes builder fees; activate it in Settings → License.

Before going live, verify yourself that your use is permitted under the law at your actual location; we do not assess this (FAQ). Also read the terms of service.
