Privacy Policy

2. The short version

The polydesk clicktrader desktop application is designed to process as little of your data as possible. It runs locally and connects directly from your machine to the Polymarket API. Your wallet and signer key never touch our infrastructure. Processing on our side relates to (a) this website and download logs, (b) Pro license purchase and validation, (c) technical error and crash diagnostic data for troubleshooting, and (d) support channels you choose to use. We process no trading or usage data: no orders, positions, market data or wallet information.

3. Data processed by the desktop application

  • Market data and orders: requested and sent directly between your machine and the Polymarket API. We are not a party to this traffic and do not receive it.
  • Builder fee (Free tier): the per-order builder fee is applied and attributed entirely on the Polymarket side as part of your order. No additional personal data is transmitted to itereon for this purpose.
  • Signer key and wallet data: generated and stored exclusively on your device. Never transmitted to us.
  • License validation (Pro only): when activating or using a Pro license, the app transmits the license key and a technical device identifier to our license server to verify validity (Art 6(1)(b) GDPR, contract performance). No trading data is included.
  • Error and crash diagnostics: technical error and crash diagnostic data (app version, operating system, stack trace) is processed for troubleshooting via a processor, see sub-processors (Art 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in a functioning product). No trading or usage data is included.

4. Data processed by this website

  • Server logs: IP address, timestamp, requested resource, user agent, processed by our hosting provider to deliver the site and defend against attacks (Art 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest). Retained for a maximum of 14 days.
  • Cookie consent: your choice is stored locally in your browser. Only technically necessary storage is used without consent; analytics only after opt-in (§ 165 Abs 3 TKG 2021, Art 6(1)(a) GDPR). Manage it under cookie preferences.
  • Downloads: application builds are distributed via GitHub; GitHub's own privacy terms apply when you download.

5. Purchase of a Pro license

When you purchase a license we process the data required for contract execution and invoicing: name, e-mail, billing address, VAT ID where applicable, and payment confirmation (Art 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). Payment data is processed by our payment provider, see sub-processors. Invoicing data is retained for 7 years (§ 132 BAO).

6. Support channels

If you contact us by e-mail, on Discord or via X, we process the data you provide to handle your request (Art 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Discord and X are independent controllers of their platforms; their own privacy policies apply.

7. Recipients

We use a small number of processors under Art 28 GDPR contracts, see the current list of sub-processors. No data is sold, and no data is shared with advertisers.

8. Third-country transfers

Where a processor operates from outside the EEA (e.g. GitHub, Discord, X), transfers rely on adequacy decisions or EU standard contractual clauses (Art 44 ff GDPR).

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Art 15 to 21 GDPR), and to withdraw consent at any time with future effect.
